ACT: Woman armed with syringe robs video shop

CANBERRA, Dec 23 AAP - A woman has threatened a shop assistant with a syringe during
a robbery at a Canberra video store.

The woman entered the store at Emu Bank, Belconnen, about 10.40am (AEDT) today, produced
a syringe and demanded money from the register, police said.

She escaped on foot with a small amount of cash.

The woman was described as dark-skinned, 163cm tall, of medium build with long, dark hair.

She was wearing a blue hooded top and had a small scar in her right eyebrow, police said.
