Fed: Judges deeply offended by NSW laws: Kirby

CANBERRA, Feb 4 AAP - Judges would be deeply offended by how they now had to deal with
a special category of murderer condemned to die in jail, a High Court judge said today.

One such prisoner, Allan Baker, has launched a High Court challenge to NSW laws that
create a category of 10 killers as non-release, barring special reasons.

In each of the 10 cases, which include Anita Cobby's killers, the sentencing judge
recommended he die in jail.
