QLD: Runaway teens in court after three day hunt

BRISBANE, Aug 20 AAP - A teenager who allegedly stole a car stocked with weapons and
ammunition will remain in jail until next Friday.

The 17-year-old Moranbah High School student appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court
today charged with burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He will reappear in the court on August 27.

The second runaway, aged 15, appeared briefly in Rockhampton Children's Court today but the
matter was adjourned until October 11.

The youth was released on conditional bail until his next appearance.

The charges arise from the alleged theft of a car, weapons and 500 rounds of ammunition in
the central Queensland coalfields township of Moranbah early Tuesday.
